Prepare to become a Cub Scout

Cub Scouts is for boys and girls aged 8–11. It focuses on exploring the outdoors, setting challenges and encountering new experiences!

Cub Scouts are always having adventures. They are introduced to traditional Scouting skills such as tying knots and using a map and compass and develop their confidence in their outdoor skills by taking part in adventures such as camping, rock climbing, abseiling, bushwalking, canoeing, billy-karting and even flying!

Cubs also learn valuable life skills such as leadership and taking responsibility for themselves. With the support of their Cub Scout Leader, they are given opportunities to set their own challenges and lead some activities.

Cub Scouts are encouraged to talk about what’s important to them and are taught the value of citizenship and how to give back to their local communities.
